This book has tons of interesting looking projects and activites. Supply lists and clear directions are included. The only problem I have with this book is that the book is targeted to British children. Nothing wrong with this whatsoever except that my son got so frustrated with the first project that he tried to build that he didn't want to try any others. The project called for using a two liter bottle. No problem - had a ton of them in the recycling bin. Try as he might he couldn't get the two-liter bottle to fit with all the other parts. Then we noticed that the bottle in the picture looked somewhat different than the common, average American 2-liter bottle everyone has in their fridge or recycling bin. It looked different because it was a British 2-liter bottle and they are longer and thinner than their American counterpart. Then we looked at the publisher's information and found that the book was indeed published in Britain. Maybe this sounds trifling, but it threw the whole project off and turned my son off the book.

Highly recommend this book for anyone working the 12-steps with an Al-Anon or ACOA sponsor. So easy and clear. I think it is the best guide available for the people who love someone with an addiction. I used it many years ago when I got into Al-Anon, and I use it with all the people I sponsor. Everyone gives me positive feedback on using this book for working the Steps.

About the Author

Roger Priddy left school at 16 with just one qualification―in art. He went to Berkshire College of Art and Design and trained as an illustrator. His first job in children's books was working with the publisher Peter Usborne, at Usborne Publishing, and then he worked with Peter Kindersley at Dorling Kindersley, where he spent 16 years. Priddy became Creative Director of DK's Children's Division and was Managing Director of the children's mass market publisher Funfax when it was acquired by DK. I bought this for my four month old daughter who loves reading books. She liked this book and the touch and feel aspect. It is a little wordy for a child her age, but I could see her really liking the book as she grows a little bit older and has a longer attention span. I also liked the animals they chose to highlight in the book ( i.e. panda, lizard, elephant, zebra, lion).

Very nice book. I ordered two of the bright baby brand touch and feel books and one DK brand touch and feel. I do NOT recommend the DK brand. Terrible quality and the "feel" parts are so small I can barely fit my finger on them. This book on the other hand has good quality, large "feel" spots and is over all nice looking.

Nice and compact small board book size.Minimal text but colorful pages and easy for babies to feel with nice large areas to touch.

Cute, simple, and engaging for my 9 month old. I just wanted a book that would give opportunities to learn animal sounds, but the parts you can feel are a plus!

My 10 month old absolutely loves these touch and feel books. He's liked them since he was about 5 months old. We got the "Baby Animals" book as a shower gift and its hands down been his favorite book ever. I have it memorized we've read it so many times. He liked it so much I searched out other books made by the same author. So very pleased with all their books and I think my boy will enjoy them for a long time.

Nice thick board book, great touch and feel parts, but there are way too many words on each page and "story" is way too complicated for that young of age child. My grandson has me read this book last every time, but he still does like it because of touch and feel and because I don't read full story because he's ready to turn page before then.

Bright colors and great pictures. I wouldn't suggest this book for everyday use. My 15month grandson loves this book and after 2 weeks of daily flipping of pages it is falling apart. The binding is broken and the pages are coming unattached. He doesn't chew on the book so this is just from him turning the pages over and over.

This book is very cute & perfect to take along while you’re out and about. The pictures are sharp and bright. My son really loves it! The price point is great too! This is a great series for toddlers & I highly recommend buying them.

My 6 month old son loves his book. It has colorful pages, with realistic pictures. I like that each texture is distinctly different. Also, the textures are fairly close to the real animal textures.
