These three stories are clever and always fast-paced blendings of genealogical searching and the standard detective plot, resulting in who-dun-its with unexpected plot twists. I enjoyed trying to think like Jayne would as a genealogical researcher. Am looking forward to the next title in the series.
These three books have to be the best I've read in ages. I couldn't stop and put them down! The twists & turns were superbly crafted. I highly recommend them. I look forward to more by this author.
The third book was the best. Oddly enough, this is the second book I've read in as many weeks about the fascist movement in England .
Needed a new read and started to look through my kindle shop. Found the Sinclair books along with the bargain of purchasing the first 3 books in one price. I like a good story set around genealogical and/or adoption as I am an adopted child as well. Loved all three. Read them all in order. Couldn't put them down. Will definitely go to the next set.
Jayne Sinclair's genealogical researches get her into a lot of trouble but she manages to come out on top at the end! Very enjoyable stories!
All the stories were a fun quick read. Something that you can take along to the beach or outdoors seating in the sun.
Jayne Sinclair is an ex-copper turned genealogist whose investigations get her into more hot water than a frog in a slowly heated saucepan.Yes, the plots are sometimes far-fetched and tend to challenge your suspension of disbelief, but at the same time the stories are a good read. I read all three books in a few sittings and look forward to the next in the series.
I read all 3 books back-to-back. They were very engaging & I enjoyed each one & looked forward to reading each. I liked the genealogical theme integrated with history of the period in which the subject of search lived. I liked main character Jayne Sinclair. Of course, she would not get such demanding clients one after the other but I was ok with that premise. I think mystery readers would enjoy the books. All were fast paced.
